MNP Ltd. was appointed receiver of Jasper Summerlea Shopping Center Ltd. (the “Company”) pursuant to an Order granted by the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta dated August 17, 2023.

The Company is the registered owner of a parcel of real property located at lands civically described as 17104 90 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta (the “Jasper Land”). The Company’s business consisted of developing and leasing the Jasper Land, on which two improvements are sited – specifically, a fast-food restaurant and an in-progress construction of a hotel comprised of 48 guestrooms.

The Receiver engaged Marcus & Millichap and Institutional Property Advisors to list and market the Jasper Land for sale.

On March 22, 2024, the Receiver applied for and obtained a Sale and Vesting Order in respect of the Jasper Land. The sale closed on May 3, 2024. 

The First Meeting of Creditors in the Bankruptcy of the Company will be held via teleconference on the 25th of March 2025 at 11:00 AM MST respectively. Call in details can be found in the creditor's package posted below.
