MNP Ltd. was appointed as Receiver of 385367 Alberta Ltd. (“385”), MBM Real Estate Ltd. (“Real Estate”), and MBM Copiers Ltd. (collectively as the “Companies”) by way of a Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta dated June 16, 2020. The Companies were in the business of Real Property Holdings, Commercial Copier Rentals and ATM Sales in the Fort McMurray, Alberta area.

The director of the company filed a voluntary assignment as a result of the COVID-19 operating restrictions and the decision of Carleton University to move all learning to online activities for 2020. As a result, there would be no foot traffic to support the retail operations of the business.

2344335 Ontario Ltd. operating as Midas Auto Service and Tires (“Midas” or the “Company”) operated two Midas franchises from leased locations at 803 Erie Street in Stratford, Ontario and 20 University Avenue East, Waterloo, Ontario. On May 8, 2020, the Quebec Superior Court for the district of Montreal (the "Court") sitting as a court designated pursuant to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act ("CCAA") issued an Initial Order appointing MNP Ltd. as monitor (the "Monitor") and providing the Debtors with various protections in virtue of the CCAA. The Court number assigned to the proceedings is 500-11-058645-207.

On May 27, 2020 Hudson Holdings Inc. filed an Assignment for the General Benefit of Creditors with MNP Ltd. as the Trustee.

MNP Ltd. was appointed as Receiver of Lakelse Air Ltd., Lakelse Helicopters Limited Partnership, 1167537 B.C. Ltd. by the Canadian Western Bank pursuant to its security on May 27, 2020.
