Rob Smith, CPA, CA, CIRP, LIT, is a Senior Vice President with MNP’s Insolvency and Corporate Recovery group in London, Ontario. Rob works with companies and their lenders across Southwestern Ontario to manage complex issues associated with insolvency and restructurings.
Rob has extensive experience with turnarounds, bankruptcies, receiverships and proposals in a wide range of companies and industries, including manufacturing, construction, agriculture, vehicle leasing and recycling. He has provided insolvency and restructuring services for companies operating in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Through tailored strategies, Rob treats all parties fairly and strives to find balanced solutions to debt and financial problems.
Rob attended Wilfrid Laurier University where he earned an Arts Honours degree in Economics and Accounting in 2000. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2002. In 2005 Rob earned the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) designation and became licensed to act as an Insolvency Trustee (LIT) under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
