GPM Food12175622 Canada Ltd. and GPM Food Inc.

On January 18, 2024 the Ontario Superior Court of Justice issued an Order appointing MNP Ltd. Receiver of GPM Food Inc. and 12175622 Canada Ltd. (collectively “GPM”). This Order was not to be effective until and if GPM failed to meet certain milestones as set out in the Order. On March 5, 2024 one of the payment milestones was missed and the Order became effective as of that date. GPM built a fully automated flour mill in Brantford, Ontario. Production of the facility was complete; however, GPM ran out of funds to operate the facility and pay it’s obligations. The motion to appoint a receiver was brought by GPM’s secured creditor, Farm Credit Canada.
