Is Bankruptcy An Option For Me

2009-08-04

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss.  I'm sure it's been a stressful situation and adding these credit cards on top of that is likely not helping. Bankruptcy would be an option to consider if you owe more than $1,000, you are unable to pay your bills as they come due, and none of the other options work for you.  The other options out there range from trying to consolidate your creditors into one payment, any ideas we can think of to rework your budget, any family help, to restructuring your debt and perhaps writing off part of it.  I would recommend that you talk to one of our Counsellors or Trustees in your area so that we can get a few more specifics about your situation.  IE:  how much do you owe your creditors, what kind of assets do you own, what does a regular month's budget look like. Contact me directly, or take a look on our website for our people in your region.  You can click on Contact in the navigation and it will take you directly to this page on our website.
