How Much Can Be Garnisheed From My Wages In Saskatchewan

2009-08-18

Yes, every province has laws as to how much of a person's wages can be take through a garnishee. In Saskatchewan creditors can take anything a person earns in excess of $500 per month, plus $100 per dependant. Obviously, this law has not been updated in some time. Canada Revenue Agency is not limited by this law but usually will not garnishee more than 1/3 of a persons gross wages. If you are having 2/3 of your wages garnisheed I strongly recommend you contact our nearest office and arrange to meet with us before your next paycheque. Both Proposals and Bankruptcy will stop garnishees immediately. Ian Schofield MNP Regina 306-790-7904
