Can I Pay Off My Proposal Early Do My Payments Show Up On My Credit Report

2011-01-20

You should talk with your trustee about whether or not you can pay extra and finish your Proposal early.  In many cases, you can, but it would depend on what the terms of your Proposal say. The fact that you have made a Proposal does show up on your credit report, and when you finish paying your Proposal, that shows up as well, but unfortunately, the details of your payment history won't appear there.  Trustees are not permitted to report that information on your credit report.
