Jill is a member of MNP’s Insolvency and Corporate Recovery group in Calgary. She undertakes formal and informal restructuring and insolvency mandates, and acts as an advisor to corporate debtors, boards, lenders, and other stakeholders facing financial difficulties. In addition, she helps clients in a wide variety of industries navigate through refinancing and restructuring processes.
Jill works across Western Canada on major restructuring projects. She has acted as monitor under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA), as a court-appointed receiver and manager of companies in a variety of industries, as trustee under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act in Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal (NOI) and Division I proposal proceedings, and as a financial advisor to Canadian Schedule A banks and credit unions.
Jill earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in political science and a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) in accounting from the University of Saskatchewan. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2012, and is also a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT). Jill is a member of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation; Turnaround Management Association, Northwest Chapter; and the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals.
