Mnp St Catharines Participates In The 10Th Annual Community Care Chili Cook Off

2016-03-04

Friday, March 4, 2016 marked the 10th annual Chili Cook-Off fundraiser for Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold. Community Care is an active, local charity which offers a wide variety of outreach programs and support services to individuals and families in the Niagara region.

To show our support of this worthwhile cause, MNP joined the festivities as one of 15 competitors. To pick our chili recipe, MNP held its own in-house chili cook-off at the St. Catharines Office. Six staff members brought in their delicious chilies for critical review. After an intense sampling and careful deliberation, seven judges voted for the winner: Hinna Shaikh. Hinna’s chili recipe was used for the big event on March 4.

MNP’s official team name at the event, was the “MNP Texas Dustbowls”. The day before the big cook-off, staff came together to prepare seven gallons of chili using Hinna’s recipe. On the day of the event, the turnout was incredible with over 600 people in attendance. It was a fun and exciting day that raised funds for a worthy charitable organization which provides unprecedented support to the community. All of the proceeds from the event, will be used to facilitate the programs and services provided by Community Care supporting St. Catharines and Thorold.
