Michael Basso CA, CPA, CIRP, LIT Senior Vice President

Michael is a member of MNP’s Corporate and Consumer Insolvency Services team in Toronto. He brings more than 15 years of corporate restructuring and recovery experience — with local, national, and international engagements — to his role.

Michael’s services include contingency planning, corporate structure reviews, financial modelling, director and officer liabilities, asset sale transactions, refinancing transactions, financial monitoring, and business reviews.

Michael earned an Honours Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) from Brock University in 2009. He is a Certified Insolvency Restructuring Professional (CIRP), a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT), and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2012.

Michael is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, a not-for-profit organization serving corporate renewal and restructuring professionals around the world.
