Jason Eckford CPA, CIRP, LIT Partner

Jason is a Vice President in MNP’s Corporate Recovery and Restructuring practice in Vancouver. With more than a decade of insolvency, merger and acquisition, and advisory services experience, he works closely with insolvent companies and lenders under a variety of mandates. These mandates include the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) and Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) restructuring proceedings, bankruptcy, receiverships, liquidations, informal restructurings, and business reviews.

Jason’s experience extends to debt and operational restructuring advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and transition diligence. He acts on behalf of debtors, shareholders, and lenders across a variety of industries, including cannabis, real estate, hospitality, health care, mining, pulp and paper, and financial services. 
Jason earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) from the University of British Columbia. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT), and a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP).

Jason is active in the insolvency community and is a director and treasurer of the Young Insolvency Professionals Society.
