Corporate Restructuring - Formal Proposal to Creditors

In Canada, a company can obtain creditor protection, depending upon its level of debt, by either filing a proposal under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) or a plan of arrangement under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA). Bridging the gap between business owners, financial institutions and other creditors, we develop effective proposals that are fair to the creditors and can reasonably be fulfilled by the company. MNP can lead the restructuring proceedings as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee under a BIA proposal or as a Monitor under a CCAA proceeding.
