Partner and Senior Vice President


<p><strong>Derek Cramm, FCPA, FCMA, FCIRP, LIT</strong>, is a Partner and a Senior Vice President with MNP&rsquo;s Corporate Recovery and Restructuring team in Halifax. Since 1986, Derek has been delivering personal and corporate bankruptcy services, litigation support and financial advice as it relates to insolvency to help clients improve their financial situations.</p>
<p>Derek works closely with clients to understand their unique situations and identify solutions to help them resolve financial challenges. This includes negotiating with creditors to reduce and restructure debt, acting as receiver pursuant to various security instruments, acting as monitor in Companies Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) proceedings and conducting look-sees. Friendly and understanding, he puts clients at ease so they can focus on the options available to them.</p>
<p>After obtaining his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Derek was admitted to the Society of Management Accountants of Alberta in 1985. He is a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT). He obtained a Trustee&rsquo;s license in 1992 for the Bankruptcy Districts of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.</p>
<p>Derek has been awarded a Fellowship of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia (FCPA), a Fellowship of the Certified Management Accountants of Canada (FCMA), and a Fellowship of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (FCIRP). He is a former board member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) and past president and member of the Nova Scotia chapter of CAIRP. He is also the past president of the Certified Management Accountants of Nova Scotia and Bermuda.</p>
